Testosterone and the aging man.

Young and virile,
no-one is prepared for what happens with age.

Low testosterone affects two to four million men after the age of fifty!

Yet many are unaware what is wrong with them, so few
seek assistance.

Today only about 5% of men actually get the help they need.  .

So what are the issues of having low testosterone?
How will you know?

1.  A decrease in sexual desire and function.
2. Thinning bones (osteoporosis) which leads to fractures.
3. Reduction in energy, muscle strength and mood.

Often doctors don't perform blood tests to evaluate testosterone hormone levels..

Why you may ask???

Because usually its put down to, the medication you may be taking..... as far as the sexual desire..

Or, osteoporosis is not discovered until you fall and break a bone.

And Depression will be treated with medications without always checking for the root cause.

Low testosterone may also arise if:
Overweight
Have undergone chemotherapy
Experienced trauma to the testes or brain.
Or suffer from diabetes.

So what can you do if you suspect you do have low levels of this important hormone?

You ask your doctor for a blood test.

What help is there?

If you are a candidate for Testosterone Therapy then this may be given in the form of a patch worn on the skin.
Or weekly injection.
