STROKE (Cerebral Vascular Accident)

The brain controls the way we move, think, speak, and eat.
Without prompt attention at the time of a stroke, the brain will die.

Stroke occurs when an artery supplying blood to a part of the brain suddenly becomes blocked or bleeds.

This can damage part of the brain, which in turn can impair a range of functions including movement of body parts and communication.

Some stroke risk factors can’t be controlled.

These include gender, age and family history.

However, many stroke risk factors are lifestyle related.

Everyone can reduce their risk of having a stroke by making a few simple lifestyle changes.

ARE YOU AT RISK OF SUFFERING A STROKE?

These Are The Risk Factors

High blood pressure : Keep a check on this, watch your Weight, Stress and Temper.
Have regular exercise and if on medication always take it.

Cigarette smokingWhen you smoke you are depleting your lungs of valuable oxygen.

Diabetes: Type two can be reversed by a low carbohydrate diet.

High blood cholesterol levels: Drink adequate water and eat oats at least every second day. Take two flaxseed oil caps at night.

Heavy drinking: A small glass of wine with the evening meal is sufficient.

High fat, low fibre diet: Especially in those take-away meals.
Eat vegetables and fruit with skins. More fish and chicken and less red fatty meat.

Lack of exercise: Walk more.

I have tried to keep this very simple without going into long explanations.

The importance is Life Style and Getting Help Fast.
