Now I have suffered from this problem for years.. SO... every morning, a half hour prior food, I have taken 20 mg of NEXIUM without question...
Why did I not question this medication???
Because every doctor I have seen, have agreed with me taking it, and everyone, have continued to prescribe it without any concern..
UNTIL...
I decided to go see a Medical Doctor who also practices NATURAL THERAPIES.
When she heard I was taking Nexium, her comment was, "TOXIC."
And, "How long have you been taking this for ??"
I had to admit, I have been on it now for at least twelve years. Whenever I fail to take the tablet, I suffer agonising stomach pain.
She has sent me for a few tests. One of these involves a breath Test for H. Pylori which is a stomach bacteria that can cause stomach ulcers..
Now to have this test, I must be off Nexium for the week prior the test..
Which I will do.
I am also not to be taking probiotics for the week prior, which I have not been taking.
However, due to the toxic word being used in relation to Nexium, I came home, got onto my computer and began researching this drug, something I should have done in the first instance of taking it.
How many times do we trust doctors orders??
And how many times do we suffer from lack of knowledge?

I have decided that no matter what, I will NEVER take this again.
They can cause Heart Attack, which I experienced two, while living in the USA.
So I believe that they are a great money maker for the drug company, and that's the reason doctors prescribe them so readily.

Drink it every morning before food and every night 2 hours after food and before bed.
Foods you need to stop eating to improve reflux:
1) No commercial fruit juices..
2) No Margarine use BUTTER
3) No Whole wheat bread... USE WHOLE GRAIN
No Pasta, Cakes, Pizza, Soda Drinks, Sugar ... Use Honey
4) No Soy
5) No Corn (most corn is genetically modified).
This will also help you loose weight.
